Toilets, faucets, sinks, disposals and shower valves - seated level, sealed correctly, tested before we leave, and no mess left in the bathroom.

Fixture work is the most-used plumbing in the house and the least respected. A toilet that runs for thirty seconds after every flush wastes more water in a month than most people would believe, and a faucet that drips is not waiting patiently - it is grinding a seat that used to be smooth. These are the calls we schedule around the bigger jobs, and they are worth making.
Hard water is why so many of them come in. Del-Co runs roughly seven to eight grains per gallon through Powell and Lewis Center, the Columbus supply serving Dublin, Worthington and Hilliard runs around seven to nine and swings with the season, and even Westerville's softened water is about seven. That mineral load is why a cartridge that should last a decade starts weeping at five years, why one shower has noticeably less flow than the others, and why the aerator you unscrewed was full of white grit. It is a fact of living here, not a defect in your faucet.
What we care about on this work is the finish. A toilet set on a fresh seal and shimmed level so it never rocks. A vanity trap that lines up instead of being coaxed into place. A disposal that drains rather than gurgling into the other bowl. Silicone where silicone belongs, the old fixture carried out, and the cabinet left dry. Our reviews mention cleanup more often than anything else, which tells you what people actually notice.
What we do

Running toilets, weak flushes, tanks that refill on their own, and the rocking bowl that has been leaking at the flange for a year. Most repairs are a flapper, fill valve or flush-valve seal and take under an hour. Replacements get a new wax ring or waxless seal, new closet bolts, shims to dead level, and a look at the flange itself - which is where a lot of avoidable leaks start.

Dripping kitchen and lavatory faucets, corroded supply lines, and sink replacement in any shape - undermount, drop-in, farmhouse, pedestal, bar and utility. Most drips here are a cartridge or seat that hard water has chewed through, which is a straightforward repair. When a faucet is old enough that its cartridge is discontinued, we say so rather than charging you to hunt for one.

Jammed, humming, leaking or simply worn out. Replacement gets a unit matched to the sink and to how the household cooks, a proper mounting assembly, and a trap arm reset so the new disposal drains instead of backing into the second bowl. If your dishwasher discharges through the disposal, we make sure the knockout plug is actually out - a surprising number are not.

Shower valve cartridges, diverters that will not hold, leaking tub spouts, and the pressure-balance valves that scale up in hard water. On remodels we handle rough-in changes, moving a fixture, double-vanity installs and appliance relocation, and we work to the tile and cabinet schedule rather than against it. Coordinating with your remodeler is part of the job, not an extra.
Common problems
Symptoms homeowners call us about, what tends to be behind them, and how we approach the fix.
Usually caused by
We rebuild the working parts rather than replacing a sound toilet. Flapper, fill valve and seal are inexpensive, and a rebuilt tank behaves like new. If the toilet has been rebuilt twice already, or the porcelain is crazed at the trapway, we will tell you that replacement is the better use of your money.
Usually caused by
One weak fixture is almost never a house problem. We clear or replace the aerator, check the stop and the supply, and swap the cartridge if the fixture has scaled internally. If every fixture is weak instead, that is a different diagnosis and it belongs on our water pressure page.
Usually caused by
We pull the toilet to find out which it is, because guessing at this one costs you the subfloor. A wax ring is a straightforward reset; a broken flange needs a repair ring or a proper flange replacement, and it is worth doing right the first time since everything above it depends on that seal.
Usually caused by
Jams clear quickly, and we will show you where the reset button and the hex wrench are so the next one costs you nothing. A leaking shell is not repairable - the leak is the unit telling you it is finished - and we replace it with something sized to how you actually cook.
How it works
Four steps, no surprises. The price is agreed before anything is opened.
Brand, rough age, and what it is doing. For a running toilet or a dripping faucet that is often enough for us to arrive with the right parts on the truck and finish in one visit.
A rebuild kit on a sound toilet, a cartridge on a good faucet, replacement when the fixture is genuinely past it. You hear which one you are looking at, and why, before you spend anything.
Level, sealed, shimmed where needed, supply lines replaced rather than reused, traps and arms set at the right pitch. Most toilet installs run an hour or two; sinks and vanities run two to four depending on what is behind them.
Flush and fill cycles run, every joint checked dry, the old fixture taken with us, and the bathroom or cabinet left the way you would want to find it.
Reviews
Five-star reviews from Powell and the surrounding suburbs, unedited.
“Keith has done several jobs for us on multiple occasions. He has been available in the evenings as well as on Saturday mornings when it was an emergency. On one occasion, after finishing the job at our house, he willingly walked over to my neighbor's house to help her with her toilet that had broken and was able to fix it right on the spot. He is beyond generous and always informative about the problem at hand. He will tell you what you SHOULD spend our money on and what isn't necessary. I love this about him! I continue to recommend him to everyone I know.”
